Guided tour of the Royal Museum of Antwerp (KMSKA)

The Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp (Dutch: Koninklijk Museum voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen, KMSKA) was founded in 1810. The KMSKA is home to some of the world’s most impressive pieces of art from the fifteenth to the twentieth centuries. The enormous collection of 8,200 paintings, sculptures, drawings, and prints reflects the artistic output and tastes of art enthusiasts in Antwerp, Belgium, and the Northern and Southern Netherlands. Experience the magnificent artwork in person and allow yourself to be inspired.

TIMING

By strolling in the tight streets and alleys, you will have the opportunity to follow the historical development of this highly specialised neighbourhood, and to end by visiting its latest jewel: the Museum of Diamond. Antwerp as the world centre of diadiamond trade way more than just a slogan! The quality and the size of Antwerp diamonds have become a world label of quality, a synonym of a perfectly treated diamond of spotless beauty.

Explore the charming streets and alleys of the Zurenborg neighbourhood: not the best known, but arguably the most beautiful part of the town, the houses and roads stemming from the Cogels-Osyleistreet will surprise and enchant your eye. Stunning Art Nouveau architectural features, surprising street art, playful façades and lots of details to be discovered. One may not joke when stating that you could spend a day just looking for details on the buildings. And after all this visual enchantment, enjoy a drink in one of the pubs of the Dageraadplaats, the beating heart of this neighbourhood.

TIMING

  • 9h30: meeting with the guide and driver at the hotel, private bus transfer to the Zurenborg neighbourhood

Port v2

Exclusive visit to the Port of Antwerp
Thursday, 25 May, 09:30-15:30 or 17:00

You can’t visit Antwerp without exploring the port, learning about its history and importance for the town. A seaport 80 kilometers inland, it hosts the largest lock of the world, the Kieldrecht. Explore the port on an exclusive bus tour with our expert guides. Enjoy a very special private lunch at the Royal Yacht Club. And, after lunch, our guides remain at your service for a guided walking tour.

TIMING

  • 9h30: meeting with guide and driver at the hotel, transfer to the Port
  • 10h00 - 12H15: bus guided tour at the Port
  • 12h15 - 12h45: transfer to the Royal Yacht Club
  • 13h00 - 15h00: lunch in a private room at the Royal Yacht Club (apéritif, main course and dessert, selection of drinks wine, beer & soft)
  • 15h00 - 15h30: back to the hotel by bus or City center
  • 15h30 - 17h00: guided walking tour for who wants – our guides remain at your disposal

  • All tours and activities prices are in (€) Euros and changes or cancellations must be made by 8 May 2023 (end of day Brussels time). No refunds will be granted after this date
  • Cancellation without penalty only in case of « force majeure » / otherwise no refund will be made
  • Prices include Value Added Tax (VAT)
  • Prices are calculated and guaranteed on the basis of group minimums
  • Tours are subject to partnering involved suppliers and possible sanitary measures.
